Owner & Head of Wallpaper Division

Paul Masson is the co-owner of Boots Up. He spent his formative years helping his mother wallpaper every inch of his childhood home, an early 1900’s victorian in the Northeast. Once he was old enough for his first proper job, he worked for a contractor who specialized in home renovations.

When he met his wife Kris in 2008, they began collaborating on design projects ranging from home remodels to restaurant retrofits. Since then, he has lead a team of dedicated wallpaper installers, who collectively have 30+ years of paper hanging experience.

When he’s not leading our wallpaper team, you can find him spending time with his family, at the gym or writing and recording music for Great American Canyon Band.

Owner & Head Designer

Kris Masson is the co-owner of Boots Up. She has worked in the interior design industry since 2008. She spent her early career in the Northeast working on designs for James Beard nominated restaurants as well as leading a retrofit for an international franchise and designing several brick and mortar concept shops.

Her design work has been featured both online & in print for publications such as Good Housekeeping, Garden & Gun and Apartment Therapy.

Her move to Nashville in 2017 coincided with the design industry’s wallpaper resurgence and she has since spent her career immersed in the medium.

When she’s not nose deep in a wallpaper book, she’s spending time with her sons or co-fronting Great American Canyon Band with her husband Paul.
